#2 - Primera Semana en el CCM! - 5/22/17

Hello Everyone!
My district at Lunch
I arrived last Wednesday at the Provo Missionary Training Center (MTC or CCM in spanish)! My companion is Hermana Pesantes (Missionaries are referred to as Elder or Sister, and  since we're learning Spanish we use Hermana) and she's from Salt Lake and is going to Las Vegas West! Spanish is her first language so she's been helping me a lot :) Also in my district are Elder Pareira from Brazil going to Las Vegas West, and Elder Gonzalez from California going to Salt Lake. My zone includes another district of a solo sister, Hermana Villalobos, and a district of 6 other Elders and Hermanas.

It's definitely been different this first week! When I got to my first class on  Wednesday I was really worried because of all the Spanish, but I'm doing a lot better and I'm really enjoying it! We go to class every morning and afternoon and have been learning how to teach the first lesson about the Restoration of the Gospel.
Our district
We met with our Branch Presidency Thursday night (The leaders of our Sunday congregation) and we had such a wonderful meeting. I can't believe how much love everyone has for us and we've just met. Because our zone is only 3 districts and the one with 6 people is leaving, the four people in my district were already asked to be the zone leaders and Sister Training Leaders, so our second day we were already getting a leadership orientation! I've realized that a lot of people look to previous missionaries for what to do and so it's extremely important to be exactly obedient and to love everyone :)
The Hermanas in our zone ( Villalobos, me, Pesantes, Ortega, Yoshida)
Everyone's been so welcoming and I'm so excited to be here! I couldn't believe how hard it was to say goodbye to the district that I've only known for a few days.

My companion and I with Elder Hancock
I've already run into two people from my BYU ward, Elder Evan Hancock, and I saw my color guard coach in the temple - such a small world!

On Saturday we taught our first investigator, who was really our teacher, but it felt so real! We talked about how God knows us each individually, loves us, and that  no matter what we do, we can always repent and come back to Christ.
My companion and I
I know Heavenly Father loves each of you- Have an incredible week!
